FORT WORTH, Texas — Karat Home completed the bankruptcy acquisition of Top 100 retailer and e-commerce DTC brand Z Gallerie on Jan. 19.

In December, Furniture Today reported that the acquisition, for Z Gallerie’s e-commerce assets, would be for $7.2 million.

Officials say the move marks a significant milestone for Karat Home, as it expands its footprint in the home decor market and e-commerce channel and solidifies its commitment to providing high-quality products and exceptional customer experiences. The acquisition of Z Gallerie aligns with Karat Home’s vision to enhance its product portfolio and strengthen its position.

“We are thrilled to announce the completion of the acquisition of Z Gallerie,” said Scarlett Fan, CEO of Karat Home. “This strategic investment not only signifies our dedication to growth, but also reinforces our commitment to offering innovative and stylish home furnishings to our valued customers.”

Karat Home will work to integrate Z Gallerie into its operations, ensuring a smooth transition for both employees and customers. It noted the assistance of CSC Generation for its assistance in closing the transaction and providing ongoing transition services, and Stump & Co. for serving as investment banker for the transaction.

The Karat Home team will be at the Las Vegas Market to meet with vendors, customers and service providers.
